Lauren Howell is Senior Clinical Consultant at TEM Care Behavioral Health. She graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. She has a background in teaching and in the human service field.
Lauren began her career in Maryland teaching special education in classrooms designed specifically for students with autism. When Lauren moved to Pennsylvania, she transitioned to the human services field where she supervised a day program for adults with disabilities. Lauren then became a Support Coordinator for participants on the Adult Autism Waiver. (AAW) She later shifted to the provider side of services, working for TEM Care Behavioral Health as part of the Clinical Team.
Lauren uses her knowledge of waiver policies, procedures, and standards to perform her job duties as Senior Clinical Consultant. She is also a certified Skill-Builder, providing SSB services to AAW participants. Lauren supports TEM Care team members in submitting documentation that meets expectations. She creates participant skill building plans and goal charts that become part of the ISP as well as writes quarterly progress reports that summarize each participant’s progress on their ISP goals. Lauren provides orientation training to new team members. She offers monthly in-house training to all team members using training presentations she creates from sources on topics related to the annual My ODP requirements. Additionally, Lauren manages the TEM Care Facebook page and is Editor in Chief of TEM Care’s internal newsletter.
